From the 18th century demonstration tools were an integral part of university education, and their users and enrichers organized them into collections. Collecting memories of the university life and the university history began in the early 20th century, and the collection of objects is currently the responsibility of the University Library and Archives.
On 22 June, 2020, the Conference of University Leaders adopted the proposal on the survey and digital collection of the university cultural heritage and commissioned the University Library and Archives to establish a professional network and reveal the university collections and museum values.
