NAVA is the National Audiovisual Archive providing an archive for audiovisual documents collected from Hungarian national broadcasts. The collection stores audiovisual documents created by Hungarian authors and documents related to Hungary in any way. Its sources are mainly Hungarian national television and radio broadcasts. NAVA’s specialty is that it allows online access through the NAVA-points - public computer terminals -, where you can not only search in the database but also, in accordance with copyright law, view full broadcasts. NAVA-points located at educational institutions are available for teachers and students, but there are NAVA-points in public libraries as well and those terminals provide free access to the database for everyone with a valid membership.
If you register any institution of the University Library Service, you can also experience the service provided by NAVA through the computers located inside the reading rooms.
Using NAVA services is free of charge.
