On the occasion of the Night of Museums, the Perczel globe will be presented at 20.00 in our Reading Hall by Dr. László Zentai, Vice-Rector for Education and Academic Affairs of the Eötvös Loránd University. The Professor will give a lecture on the history of László Perczel's globe. After the presentation the copy of the globe will be on display in the Director General's Room. The world map, which won first prize at the International Geographical Congress in Venice in 1881, was the largest Hungarian globe in Hungary until 1965.
