During the Erasmus Staff Week, Liza Németh gained a comprehensive overview of the functioning of the libraries of the University of Liège, including the organizational structure, collection management and heritage protection tasks. The program's highlights included the application of artificial intelligence in libraries, Open Science practices, and the support of the Diamond Open Access model through the BeDiamond initiative. The visit offered valuable professional experiences and inspiring good practices that can be directly used in everyday work and professional development.

A film presenting the football successes of the Dunaszerdahely Athletic Club (DAC 1904 FC) and its role in bringing together the Hungarian community in Upper Hungary will be screened as part of the ELTE Carpathian Basin Summer University.

The ELTE University Library and Archives’ series of therapy dog programs during exam season concluded amid great interest. As part of the initiative, more than a thousand students participated in 21 sessions featuring five therapy dogs. The program’s goal was to contribute to students’ mental well-being and provide support amid the increased stress of exam season.

The members of the ELTE Heritage Coordination held their first coordinators' day of the year on June 24, 2026, in Göd, at the Huzella Garden, with fifteen participants, including new members. The program began with a professional meeting, then they took part in a meaningful historical walk and museum visit led by László Papp, where they could learn about the past of the place and the Huzella family. The event was not only professionally useful, but also strengthened community building, and new connections and inspiring collaborations were created.

According to our tradition, this year we joined the Night of Museums series of events, which featured the exhibition MTA 200 – Academicians at the university along with craft workshops, concerts, guided tours of the building, exhibitions, animated film screenings, calligraphy workshop, recipe collection, adventure game and restoration workshop presentations.

The 2026 edition of the Journal Citation Reports™ (JCR) provides the global research community with trusted, transparent metrics to assess journal performance and scholarly influence. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how the JCR supports informed decision-making for authors, editors, librarians, research managers, as well as best practices for responsibly using journal-level metrics, including the Journal Impact Factor (JIF), available in JCR profiles along with descriptive open access and contributor information. The session will conclude with practical examples and a live Q&A.
